I care about meeting your needs and answering your questions. I want you to feel safe and sure about everything to do with your birthing and postpartum experience. HOW DO YOU VIEW THE PARENTING PARTNERS ROLE?

In my heart, I feel that this is such a truly transformative time in a couples relationship. It's very important to me to make sure that the partner feels 100% included and involved in the entire process.

HOW LONG WILL YOU STAY AFTER THE BIRTH?

If you have a hospital or birth center birth I stay for 1-2 hours after delivery to help initiate breastfeeding and to help get you comfortable and situated.
If you have a home birth I will stay long enough to help with breastfeeding, and to prepare a light meal for the family.

DOES A DOULA REPLACE NURSING STAFF?

No. The Doula's role is not a clinical one. We work side by side with nursing staff to ensure that you and baby are receiving the best care.

DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT?

Yes. We will discuss this at your consultation, and again once signing. You can always contact me by email or phone with any questions concerning your contract.

WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE?

Constant and open communication is key. When the day of labor arrives I ask that you keep me in the loop as things progress and call me when you are ready for support. * Please keep in mind the doula reserves the right to 2 hours from when asking her to arrive to arrival. This way all childcare arrangements can be made.*

ARE YOUR SERVICES COVERED BY INSURANCE ?

Many insurance companies are now starting to cover Doula care. It is your responsibility to file and and get reimbursed on your own. I will provide any documentation if needed.

DO YOU USE THE SAME PRENATAL TEACHING MODEL FOR EVERY FAMILY?

I use the same basic structure. After meeting with you and learning more about you and your families needs , I tailor every prenatal visit to each individual family based upon their individual needs.
